Cymatics Video: Alexander Lauterwasser Projects Soundstone Images

by Jodina Meehan on July 31, 2012

This video was sent in recently by Alan Tower, who is building a Chamber Of Resonance dedicated solely to the experience of sound waves.

It shows Prosessor Klaus Fessman playing the soundstone, while Alexander Lauterwasser projects the cymatics images onto a screen in the background. The first Soundstone was created in the 1970’s by German sculptor Elmar Daucher, and you can learn more about them here.

Hi, the person playing the stone is Prosessor Klaus Fessman, germany. His website is www. Klangsteine.de. I know him personally. My husband and I work with Dr. Emoto and did a workshop on sound (singing bowls) and water. We captured the crystal images for the seven chakras in Dr. Emotos lab. Love reading your journal! Bettina

The Visual Technology, awesome, very cool… the music? Sadly, like so much “modern classical” is not very interesting at all…chaos, noise, the musicians aren’t really “feeling” this – obvious…more like trained monkeys making noise when told to…you could call this “Research”…ok,,,experimental yes….but still it feels like a Dead End Street… this visual technology deserves much better sound, harmonics and frequncy programming….something new and better WILL emerge, I have no doubt, but this isn’t it…

Try this-there’s no visuals but he uses singing bowls and cymatics to “audition” sounds…

Simply amazing the section with the Soundstone! This is the very first time I had ever heard, or seen one before! I am stunned by the resonance tone, and that they remind me of Crystal Bowls and Tibetan Bowls… I will have to look into this more…. just fascinating! Who invented the idea of a soundstone? Why have I not heard of these before until now? Is it some kind of Secret being held in Europe???
