Cymatics Artist Jodina Meehan will be performing a one-time multimedia showing of all her work to date at 118 Elliott Street in Brattleboro, Vermont this January.
The performance will include an exhibit of large oil paintings, a reading from her book “Cymatica,” a sampling of poetry from the past two years, demonstrations of cymatics instruments turning sound waves visible, and some of the songs from her upcoming album of songs written to accompany her book.
The event will be a fundraiser for the first recording of an album by Jodina’s band, also called “Cymatica” – which was formed to perform the songs from the trilogy of books she is writing about a fantasy world where sound is magic. The other members of the band are Lauren Bernozzi (voice, percussion) and Alex Sela (electric guitar).
Tickets will be going on sale in the next few days.
