Cymatics And Sound Healing

“Can cymatics be used for positive health benefits?”
- Dennis Chino
Absolutely. The study of sound waves and how it affects matter has been connected to the medical and alternative medicine fields for at least as long as the term “cymatics” has existed (actually longer).

There have been many studies conducted as well as thriving practices today all around the health benefits of sound as applied to physical matter. Cymatics as an art form is a more recent development, but both practices have something in common as cymatics in art as well as healing involves using and recording sound waves as applied to something physical, whether that is a pile of sand or a collection of human cells.

There are several websites out there where you can learn about cymatics and sound healing, here are three of the best:

The International Sound Therapy Association, founder Mandara Cromwell.

Healing Sounds, founder by Jonathan Goldman

Biosonics was created by John Beaulieu

I met Mandara Cromwell and John Beaulieu personally at the Cymatics Conference in Atlanta and look forward to meeting Johnathan Goldman someday as he is one of the earliest serious researchers into sound healing alive today.

All three of these sites will give you a wealth of information on healing and sound, as well as resources for classes, books and healing tools if you are interested in pursuing this field further.

I read your sound healing and cymatics article with interest. I studeied with Jonathan Goldman 13 years ago and began using sound in my healing practice immediately. Now it is 95% of what I do. I have found sound effective on physical as well as emotional/spiritual levels in resolving health issues. In 13 years of practice, I have witnessed the efficacy of sound treatments in cases involving cancer, Parkinson’s, skin diseases, alcoholism, sinus disorders, liver problems; YOU NAME IT, SOUND CAN AND DOES WORK IN MOST CASES.

This is, as stated, because frequency and form are integrally related: change one and the other must change.

Sound also has an impact on psychological, mental and etheric processes. The precise mechanisms are not as well understood as those in the physical realm, but I have seen sound cure depression and accomplish exorcism.

Jonathan Goldman’s simple, but potent formula holds in all three cases: Frequency + Intention = Healing. Intention is the key here, and those who aspire to sound healing will do well to familiarize themselves with dowsing and intention setting first. in addition, the employment odf positive emotion acts as am amplifier to intention, and so heart opening practices are also effective in preparation for healings.

Finally, it is important to note that healing, in it’s ultimate and spiritual sense, involves far more than the “healer” and the “patient,” and not everyone becomes healed. One must never be attached to the outcome- in spite of our emotions and best efforts there may be countervaling circumstances beyond our purview. Ultimately, we are just tools in the hands of far better-skilled practitioners, conduits through which the Love force flows. THEY ARE THE REAL MUSICIANS, AND WE BUT THE INSTRUMENTS.
