Having realized that I first listened to some generic "Trance Metal Bands" and not Sunn O.....with a very bad impression...I then listened to Sunn O....and am sorry to say, I didn't change my opinion. These guys are "Posers" posing as if they are into something "Heavy." They are NOT. I wish them well, and a strong evolution into something more. (more WHAT is the question - but more than what they are doing now.) I am not at all troubled with "Drone" but find this really Sterile. And even the "masters" of this genre and beyond, Karlheinz Stockhausen, etc. can get away with only so much (even with such great genius) before it just gets to be too much...Anyway, best wishes to all, INCLUDING Sunn O....

i have some old music i've made on www.mediafire.com/stephenmonslow i am about to go and record an album and i'll let you know where you can listen to it when its done... i think the plan is to play ultrasound at gigs when my musics playing because of some research i've read about ultra sound and music increasing alpha brainwave s in the audience. Apparently the test subjects couldn't say why they liked music with ultrasound more than normal music but they did.. i think thats quite interesting. I like the name apocalyptica aswell i'm currently searching for names... cymatica is taken so i can't use that but any suggestions would be appreciated.

Hey Stephen,

That's cool that you found my site that way. Are you still going to call your band Cymatica? I think that would be awesome (long as you don't need the URL ;-)...I personally am a big fan of Apocalyptica, makes a nice ring to it. How are you planning to use ultrasound with cymatics, and music?
What kind of music do you do? Yeah, cymatics is a small (but growing) field of interest out there now, it's good to get connected and share ideas and achievements. Everyone I've met in connection w/ cymatics has been really cool thus far. Keep me updated on your projects and what you're up to. Would love to hear some of your music. Did you know Peter Gabriel did some cymatics on stage on one of his tours? Only a few people know about that. - Well, write more - I'd like to keep in touch. --Jodi

I am an artist and musician studying music tech in cambridge UK, me and my brother will soon be ready to combine are interest in doing hands on practical cymatic research (as well as some ultrasound) with our future live shows. As far as i'm aware cymatics is quite an unexplored field as well as the implications of ultra sound in conjunction with audible sound.. i actually thought of the name cymatica for our band name before seeing your website which i think is quite a co-incidence! when i typed the name in i wasn't expecting to find anything i'm rambling i'm just shocked there are other people interested in cymatics out there
